QUESTIONNAIRE: Future of Aerial Emergency Response in Europe

Help us design the next generation of Search & Rescue technology.

We are Elevate Delft B.V., a TU Delft-based startup, and winners of the GoAERO prize. We are developing an autonomous eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-Off and Landing) aircraft specifically for emergency response.

Your expert input is critical to ensuring our design reflects the real operational needs of emergency response services across Europe. This survey takes 5 minutes and your feedback will directly influence our design and help secure EU funding to bring this technology to fire services.

All responses are anonymous and used for research/grant purposes.

The questionnaire takes about 5 minutes to complete: https://forms.gle/N4CzvbgPvNgyPxhK7

SURVEY: EU TRIFFID project

First responders’ input wanted 🧑‍🚒 🚑 Study on individual differences in emergency operations

The EU-funded TRIFFID Project is currently conducting a study on the role of individual differences during hashtag#emergency operations, and has developed a dedicated hashtag#survey intended for first responders to complete. The idea is to investigate how/if individual characteristics, such as personality, coping strategies, decision-making styles, and self-efficacy, can influence stress, workload, and situation awareness in emergency contexts.

The survey is completely anonymous and consists of three sections:

• Socio-demographics (age, gender, years of experience, field of experience, role)
• Individual aspects (personality, decision-making styles, coping strategies, perceived self-efficacy)
• Operation-related aspects (workload, situation awareness, stress)

It should take no more than 15 minutes to complete (some questions are optional). You can select your preferred language from the dropdown menu in the top-right corner of the survey’s first page.

Please find the survey link in the comments below. ⬇️ Thanks a lot for taking the time and for sharing this survey with first responders who might be interested in it as well!

Community

The Robot Response Alliance is a non-profit organisation that unites first responders, researchers, and technology innovators who share one mission: to enhance safety and operational effectiveness through robotics, drones, and smart sensing solutions that support and protect those in the field.

Our members come from fire services, police, rescue organizations, universities, and industry. They all contribute their unique expertise and experiences from the field.

Within this growing network, we exchange knowledge, test technologies, and learn from real-life missions and pilot deployments. The Alliance acts as a trusted bridge between those who develop technology and those who rely on it in critical, high risk situations.

Whether you are a firefighter testing a reconnaissance robot, a developer working on autonomous systems, or a policymaker shaping the future of emergency response, the community is open to you.

Join the Alliance. Share insights, share experiences, and help build the future of robotic response.

Solutions

The Robot Response Alliance connects real operational needs with cutting-edge technological solutions, always prioritizing the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of first responders.

Within the Alliance, we explore and promote a wide range of robotics and digital tools that support first responders. From drones, ground robots, underwaterdrones to sensor networks, decision-support systems, and training platforms.

Every solution in our ecosystem is designed with one goal in mind: to improve situational awareness, reduce risk, and increase the efficiency of emergency response.

Together with our partners, we test and validate these technologies in real-life scenarios. From industrial fires and hazardous material incidents to search-and-rescue operations and complex disaster environments.

The Alliance doesn’t sell products; we build bridges between users and developers, ensuring that innovation is meaningful, reliable, and field-proven.

Explore the technologies shaping the future of robotic response and discover how they can strengthen your mission.
